That’s Baller

After looking over a number of recent headlines in the blogosphere, it just kind of hit me that our friends in Cupertino have had kind of a slump recently with regards to media coverage. Add this post as another slap in the face, but in my (very) humble opinion it’s high time that Steve unleashes something amazing to turn the tide back towards Apple’s favor. I know they have had a lot on their hands as far as the App Store goes, but damn, when was the last time they actually came out with something new. Oh that’s right, it was almost a year and a half ago…

This however, does not suck

So this will be post numero uno in my chronicle about all things OS X. One of the programs that I had always admired from afar was Quicksilver. It’s a handy launcher (+ so much more) that many thought would be eclipsed by several native features included in the debut of OS 10.5 aka Leopard. I’ve been using Leopard for the past few months now, and while Stacks and Spotlight are really dandy, neither one comes close to Quicksilver. The app is apparently not being actively developed anymore (shame) but still is a great free addition to any Mac. It’s so nice to be able to launch any webpage, application, document, etc without having to navigate around the Finder. Definitely Baller!

Just a heads up - our friends at haklabs brought the site back up today. They had some downtime, but if you want your iPhone/iPod Touch apps for free dollars, they are the place to see. Caveat: you need to be jailbroken for this to work…

Reports are coming hot and heavy about Apple applying some shrinkage to the iPod/iPhone lines…Meanwhile everyone here at TBHQ (That’s Baller Headquarters) would much rather see a new netbook or some sort of dope tablet pc, both of which would be bigger than what is currently out there.
